Early Risers

This is an inhouse facility for children whose parents need to drop them off between 8.00am and 8.30am because of work commitments. The children meet in the studio and are supervised until 8.30am when they may move into their classroom or onto the playground. Teachers are on duty from 8.30am and therefore children cannot be left elswhere in the school unsupervised.

There is a minimal charge for the cost of supervision of the children of £1.50 per day or £5.00per week. Early Risers is not a profit making facility.

GAP Club

The GAP club is the name of our After School Club. It runs from 3.30 - 6.00pm in the Studio and is very popular. Children can attend on a full or part time basis and are given healthy snacks and drinks during the session. They undertake a variety of activities and spend much of the time outside in the summer. This is not a homework club but a place for children to relax and have fun after a busy school day. Places are restricted to 24 children and subsequently this facility is often over subscribed. The GAP club is OFSTED registered and is run by Mrs Gillian Smith. You can download a GAP club application pack here. If you are applying for a GAP club place as your child is starting in Year 3 in September please be aware that Mrs Smith will not be able to confirm a space to you until July. This is because parents are not obliged to relinguish/rebook places for the following year until this time - we therefore suggest you have a contingency plan in case we are unable to accomodate you.

Family Learning

We have offered several Family Learning opportunities in the past and hope to do so in the future. These have included

  • Internet Safety Seminars
  • Cookery courses for parents and children
  • ICT courses for parents and children
  • Parenting courses

If you identify a need, please let us knwo and we will do our best to fulfill it.

Elmbridge Partnership

This is an informal partnership of all Elmbridge schools. We have undertaken to work on Extended Schools provision and have a structure in place to support this. Within this group we are part of ElM PLC - a more formal partnership of 15 schools with Governor involvement. We are also part of a group which is exploring Trust Status. We have Esher College, RC Sheriff Trust and Proctor and Gamble as our partners and hope to attract other partners as we develop.

Childrens Centre

Cleves is the lead school for Weybridge and St. George's Children Centre. The Children's Centre Manager for these two areas is Daphne Sohl 07525 725670. Her job is to co-ordinate provision across this area so as to meet the needs of all who live within it. The Centre will strive to support all families with childrern aged 0-5 years with access to health, education, training and employment services. One of Mrs Sohl's first tasks will be to undertake an audit of provision across the area, identify gaps and fill them. To find out more click here

Extended Schools

All schools in Elmbridge have joined together through the Elmbridge Partnership to ensure that we can deliver the core offer:

  • Provision of a varied menu of activities
  • Community use of schools
  • Swift and Easy referral to other agencies
  • Parenting support
  • High quality childcare 8.00am - 6.00pm all year round.

We have a structure in place which supports these aims with regular bidding rounds. The Extended Schools Co-ordinator for Elmbridge is Nikki Anghileri - nikkianghileri@yahoo.co.uk
