Awarded by Sport England when:
- The percentage of pupils participating in at least 2 hours high quality PE and school sport each week is significantly above the national average;
- and they held a sports day;
- and they had met or bettered the national average for pupils involved in sports leadership and volunteering (this would not apply to infant schools), or , the percentage of pupils participating in sports clubs linked to their school.

Artsmark is a national award scheme managed by Arts Council England that recognises schools with a high level of provision in the arts. The award scheme is open to all schools in England - primary, secondary, special schools and pupil referral units, both maintained and independent.
By gaining an Artsmark, a school shows its commitment to the wider development of young people and teachers and to raising the profile of the arts in the school and local community.

The Charter Standard for Schools programme is a kite marking scheme that establishes minimum standards of football development in schools.
It is also a means by which good practice is recognised and will raise standards by sharing this good practice.
The criteria for achieving Charter Standard include;
- Minimum FA qualifications for teachers
- Football to be provided to boys and girls in the curriculum
- Football to be provided for boys and girls out of school hours
- Schools to be affiliated to the English Schools Football Association
- School to club link with a junior football club
- The Charter Standard offers a benefits package to schools including tickets to youth and women's games

The Primary Quality Mark provides a framework for self-evaluation and continuous improvement of the basic skills of all pupils in a school. This includes both those who underachieve and those whose attainment is lower than would be expected of someone of their age.
The Primary Quality Mark 10 Elements are:
- A whole school strategy and planning to improve performance in basic skills
- An analysis of the assessment of pupil performance in basic skills
- Target setting for the improvement of the schools's performance in basic skills
- Basic skills improvement planning for pupils under attainingand/or underachieving
- Regular review of the progress made by pupils under attainingand/or underachieving in basic skills
- A commitment to improving the skills of staff to teach and extend basic skills
- The use of a range of teaching approaches and learning styles to improve basic skills
- The use of appropriate teaching and learning materials to improve basic skills
- The involvement of parents and carers in developing their child's basic skills
- An effective procedure for monitoring planning and assessing improvement in performance in basic skills
